ANTA Sports Combats COVID-19 Across Different Channels with Great Effort
Execution of Virus-Control Measures, Gradually Resumes Operation and Production, Boosts Sales Through New Online Sales Model
Hong Kong, 13 March 2020 – ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020.HK, and its subsidiaries collectively the “Group”) announced that, amid the global COVID-19 outbreak, the Group has executed numerous anti-pandemic measures to combat COVID-19. In the worst of the outbreak, the Group donated an aggregate of over RMB 31 million to Hubei Province three times, becoming one of the first batch of enterprises donating supplies and shouldering its corporate social responsibility.
The Group was among the first batch of enterprises to donate to the fight against the Pandemic with a donation of RMB10 million to China Charity Federation on 25 January. On 13 February, the Group further donated RMB20 million worth of winter outfit and relevant supplies to support medical staff in the frontline of the battle against the Pandemic. On 17 February, through the relevant unit, ANTA Sports donated RMB1 million in cash to a county hospital in Huanggang, one of the hotspots of the Pandemic in Hubei Province, to support the procurement of negative pressure ambulances and medical anti-bacterial equipment.
ANTA Sports established the “ANTA Group Emergency Management Commanding Team for the Prevention of Epidemic” during the crisis to closely monitor the conditions on the frontlines, as well as to ensure all is being done to support the prevention and protection work of all staff. ANTA Sports has taken proactive measures to tackle the current challenges of retail business, with offline stores gradually resuming operations, as well as actively promoting sales through online channels. Moreover, nearly 40% of offline stores have resumed their operations, and expected the proportion of operation resumption to continuously increase.
