ANTA Sports Held an Outfit Design Forum and Joined Hands with 5 National Water Sports Teams
Full Support for National Sports Development Keep Moving to Brilliant Chinese Flames
(Hong Kong, 22 September 2009) ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that it has invited a hundred authoritative designers to join a forum in Beijing, namely "ANTA Designers Salon". The forum was held to brain storm the designs for Chinese Sports Delegation's sportswear at award ceremonies of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. Through providing a platform for discussion between professional designers, ANTA Sports has not just taken over innovative thoughts for the design of Chinese Sports Delegation's sportswear, but has also enriched the ANTA brand.
On 23 June 2009, ANTA Sports announced a strategic partnership with the Chinese Olympic Committee ("COC"). In the next 4 years, we are going to outfit the Chinese Sports Delegation in awards and official ceremonies in 11 influential international competitions. The first promotional event jointly held by ANTA Sports and the COC will be "Glittering Chinese Flames Together – ANTA Outfit Design Competition for Chinese Sports Delegation for the 2010 Asian Games" to arouse the involvement of the general public and designers. The forum themed "Chinese Sportswear Design", one of the significant sections of the design competition, providing a platform for designers to discuss hot topics including "What design elements can best represent China?" and "Does China Sports Delegation need a conceptual totem design?"
A representative of the designers said after the forum, "Besides Chinese elements, fashion sense and trendy design concepts are necessarily to pour into the design of Chinese sportswear. All kinds of Chinese elements, be it dragon, Chinese characters, peony or the Great Wall, ought to evolve with the times, and consequently, the design will become a totem that fully represents the spirits and strengths of Chinese Sports Delegation."
ANTA Sports is also pleased to announce its strategic partnership with Chinese Water Sports Association and the Chinese National Water Sports Teams on 21 September. ANTA Sports will be the sponsor and sportswear provider for the Chinese Sailing Team, Chinese Rowing Team, Chinese Canoeing Team, Chinese Canoe/kayak slalom team and China Finswimming Team from 2009 to 2012. The Company will tailor-make a line of sportswear for the teams, including outfits for awards ceremonies, competitions and training. The Chinese National Water Sports Teams have made major achievements in recent years. In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Chinese Rowing Team won a gold medal in the women’s quadruple sculls event. The Chinese Sailing Team also was crowned champion in the RS:X Women event. They were both China's first gold medals in the respective events.
