ANTA Sports Co-hosts Award Ceremony with the COC - Winning Outfit Design for Chinese Sports Delegation in Guangzhou Asian Games Unveiled
ANTA Sports' Endorsed Athlete Chen Rong Wins Dalian International Marathon
(Hong Kong, 26 April 2010) ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, co-hosts with the Chinese Olympic Committee ("COC") the award ceremony of ANTA Outfit Design Competition for the Chinese Sports Delegation at the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games. In the ceremony in Beijing, the design entry named "Skylark & Enthusiasm" – jointly designed by Diao Jie from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and Shandong designer Lu Xiaojian, won the first prize of the design competition titled "Glittering Chinese Flames Together", taking away RMB100,000.
The design from Xi Jingkai (apparel) and Cao Haoming (footwear) won the second place and the design from Bai Nan (apparel) and Sun Linsen (footwear) won the third place. There were also the "Most Popular" and "Media" awards announced in the ceremony. Mr. James Zheng, ANTA Sports Executive Vice President, noted, "It is our honour to work with the COC in such a meaningful project. It is our utmost pleasure to contribute to the success of the Chinese athletes and we are confident of their performance in the upcoming Asian Games." Mr. James Zheng also presented a scroll containing the winning designs to Mr. Liu Jun, Vice-Director of the COC Marketing Commission.
Separately, ANTA Sports participated in the Dalian International Marathon and Yangzhou Jianzhen International Half-Marathon enthusiastically, each having respectively completed on April 18 and 25. Chen Rong, a marathon runner and ANTA Sports' endorsed athlete, became a champion in the Dalian International Marathon with her optimum condition and outstanding performance. As the sole sponsor of equipment and sportswear for the two competitions, ANTA Sports not only provided professional gears to the participants, but also recruited for the ANTA Sports Marathon quadrille and invited Li Xiaoxu and Tang Zhengdong, ANTA Sports' endorsed CBA players, to lead the quadrilles to promote popularisation of sports across the nation and give blessing to the runners. With strong R&D capability and quality service, the Company will continue to support the popularisation of running and the promotion of "Sports for All" in China.
