ANTA Sports Solely Title Sponsors "2010 ANTA CCTV Sports Personality" for Fourth Consecutive Year

This is the fourth consecutive year that ANTA Sports has been a sole title sponsor of the prestigious event, which is widely regarded as the “Sports Oscar in China”. In a ceremony officiated by Ms. Wen Wen, Vice Chairman of Publicity Department of General Administration of Sport of China, Mr. Li Ting, Deputy Chief Editor of CCTV, Mr. Feng Heping, Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Beijing Office, Mr. Zhang Tao, Vice President of ANTA Sports and Ms. Yang Yang, a renowned winter athlete, the awards committee announced the list of sportsmen and women nominated for the awards in Beijing, raising the curtain on this year’s selection process.
"ANTA CCTV Sports Personality" not only is the most important event on China's sporting calendar, it is also the largest and the most authoritative sports awards ceremony in the country. Its goal is to promote the development of sport and to foster the spirit of sport. Its awards are seen to be the highest honour in the sports industry. As a long time supporter of China’s sports development, ANTA Sports has been the sole title sponsor of the CCTV Sport Personality since 2006. This has enabled ANTA Sports to take advantage of the sought-after resources offered by this platform and to establish a closer relationship with the National Sports Bureau, enhancing ANTA’s brand image in the industry.
The award ceremony will be held in early next year to pay tribute to the sportsmen, women and teams who have made outstanding contributions to sports in 2010. So far there have been more than a hundred nominations, from sportspeople to those who work in the industry. They include a number of endorsed players of ANTA Sports, such as 2010 Winter Olympics gold medalists Shen Xue, Zhao Hongbo and Zhou Yang, tennis heroine and 2010 Australian Open’s semi-finalist Zheng Jie, and former table tennis world champion Wang Hao. With their persistence and determination, not only do they represent the most inspiring qualities of sport, they also exemplify the ideals that ANTA Sports stands for.
