Fulfilling Its Social Responsibilities with Endorsers; ANTA Sports Again Listed on Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series for the Third Consecutive Years
(Hong Kong, 12 September 2012) ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, recently took part in charity work with its endorsers to play a part in building a better community. Meanwhile, the Company’s continued efforts in social responsibility initiatives have brought us further recognition in the market and it has been selected to be a constituent member of the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series for the third consecutive year, the only sportswear enterprise included in the Index.
On 7 September, ANTA Sports’ endorsed NBA superstar Kevin Garnett visited Jiangchong Primary School in Zhengzhou to support the “Giving Children a Pair of Sports Shoes” campaign. The campaign was initiated by the China Children's Charity Relief Fund, the Sohu website and CCTV host Cui Yongyuan, with the aim to promote well-being of children in the relatively poor Chinese provinces in China. During the visit, KG distributed products of the ANTA Kids sportswear series to disadvantaged students living in the rural areas. He also played basketball with the children to promote youth participation in sports.
ANTA Sports is committed to promoting youth development. In June, the Company supported the “Champions Fund”, established by the Red Cross Society of China and Yang Yang, China’s first Winter Olympics gold medalist, to build a basketball court at Gucheng Primary School in Beijing.
Furthermore, ANTA Sports integrates sustainability and social responsibility into its business strategies and corporate culture, and the efforts of the Company have been recognised in the latest Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series, effective 10 September 2012. ANTA Sports is one of the 30 companies and also the only sportswear company selected for the inclusion in the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index, reflecting the Company’s devotion in all aspects of environmental, social and corporate governance. ANTA Sports is also being listed on the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index and Hang Seng (Mainland and HK) Corporate Sustainability Index as well.
