ANTA Sports Named Best Brand in China by Interbrand for 3rd Consecutive Year
Consecutive Year Continues Momentum in Brand Building and Social Responsibility
(Hong Kong, 13 December 2012) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that the Company has been ranked 22nd best brand in China, by leading brand consultancy Interbrand in the 2012 Best China Brands. Being selected for the third consecutive year, ANTA Sports leads the peers to become the most valuable sportswear brand in China again.
ANTA Sports establishes brand image by sponsoring star athletes, professional sporting events and sport teams. The collaboration with the Chinese Olympic Committee (“COC”) has further enhanced the Company’s prominent image among the public. In 2012, ANTA Sports tailor-made “Champion Dragon Outfit”, the winning outfit for the Chinese Sports Delegation of the London Olympics, and launched a series of Olympic marketing campaigns, bringing the influence and reputation of the brand to new heights. Meanwhile, ANTA Sports engages in research and innovation in a view to further enhance technological value on ANTA’s products and its professional brand image. The Company’s testing laboratory received a certificate of accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, demonstrating the laboratory’s nationally and internationally recognised management standards and assessment capabilities.
In addition, the China National Garment Association (CNGA) unveiled the “Top 100 Enterprises of China Apparel Industry” lists, on which ANTA Sports ranked the highest among all other Chinese sportswear brands in terms of sales, profit margin and profit. Meanwhile, according to Huicong Research (HCR), ANTA Sports, with a brand identification rate of 74%, was the most identifiable brand among all partners of the COC. According to a study by the “Olympic Advertising Effect Tracking Research Team” at Xiamen University, 47.5% of consumers noticed the ANTA Sports brand on CCTV channels, which again topped the list. These researches soundly demonstrate the recognitions by domestic and overseas authoritative institutions on ANTA Sports’ efforts on brand building.
While tirelessly drumming up brand recognition, ANTA Sports has also persisted in its commitment and contributions to the well-being of society. In October, ANTA Sports joined Champion Fund, Samaranch Foundation and Olympic champions Xu Lijia, Zou Shiming, Han Xiaopeng and Wang Liping to visit the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The Olympic champions shared their personal experiences, and played games with the local youth, while sports equipment and goods were given to local schools as well, in order to promote sports to youth in the border regions in China, allowing them to experience the joys of sports.
Mr. Ding Shizhong, Chairman and CEO of ANTA Sports, said, “ANTA Sports maintained steady development amid market consolidation. We continued to enhance our brand value, making us a leader in China’s sportswear sector. We will also follow through in carrying out our brand philosophy of ‘Keep Moving’ and will continue to boost our brand value and popularity while being flexible in implementing various strategies so as to further cement ANTA Sports’ leading position in China’s sportswear sector. Meanwhile, we will continue to uphold the same spirit to shoulder our social responsibilities and proactively show our love and concerns for society, generating greater value and returns to both our shareholders and the community.”
