Asian Film Icon Shu Qi Endorses FILA Promoting Trendy Lifestyle of Spring/Summer 2013 Collections
(Hong Kong, 21 January 2013) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that the “Olympic Charity Collaboration Alliance” (the “Alliance”), initiated by the Company, the Chinese Olympic Committee (“COC”), the Champion Fund and the Juan Antonio Samaranch Foundation, was kicked off on 19 January. The Alliance will leverage the strengths of its members to further popularise the Olympic spirit and to promote the “Sports for All” movement.
The members of the Alliance come from the government, enterprise and Non-government Organisations (NGOs) who have made tremendous contributions in the development of sports in China. The Alliance will spare no effort to promoting the development of Olympic sports and sports charity in China so as to become the most influential sports charity platform in China.
As the leader of China’s sportswear industry, ANTA Sports is the sole enterprise participated in the Alliance. The collaboration reflects ANTA Sports’ outstanding ability to integrate resources for sports-related charity work, as well as its determination to promote the Olympic culture, and the “Sports for All” movement. Besides, ANTA Sports is the partner of the COC, a founding committee member of the Juan Antonio Samaranch Foundation, and a supporting party of the Champion Fund. ANTA Sports supported activities such as the “8 August National Fitness Day”; the “23 June Olympic Run Day”; “Olympic athlete’s charitable activity”, an official event of the COC. The Company also visited northwest China to promote Olympic spirit and joy of sports in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. These efforts demonstrate how ANTA, a brand rooted in China, takes a proactive approach in promoting the “Sports for All” movement and the comprehensive development of sports in China.
Mr. Ding Shizhong, Chairman and CEO of ANTA Sports, said, “As the partner of the COC, ANTA Sports has been incorporating promotion of Olympic sports into corporate development over the years and has made it the DNA of the Company. In the future, we will continue to cooperate with the COC, the Juan Antonio Samaranch Foundation, the Champion Fund and all corporations which care about and support sport development in China, to promote the ‘Sports for All’ movement in China and make China a sporting superpower.” He also said, “Corporations are not just profit-makers, but are also obliged to bear social responsibilities. We hope other corporations and institutions can join us in contributing more to society.”
In addition, the Company has strived to improve FILA's brand reputation and popularity since it acquired the Fila business in the PRC in 2009. A series of eye-catching and stylish sportswear products, inheriting the unique style of the FILA brand, have been introduced in the PRC, Hong Kong and Macao. In January 2013, FILA launched the “La Dolce Vita” themed Spring/Summer 2013 collections. Meanwhile, it signed an endorsement contract with Asian film icon Shu Qi to promote the new trendy lifestyle of the FILA brand. Please follow the link below for further details:
