ANTA Sports Joins Hands with 16 China National Teams
Together Kick-off Journey to Pursue the Dream of China Sports
(Hong Kong, 31 May 2013) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that the Company has become the strategic partner of the General Administration of Sport of China’s Boxing and Taekwondo Sports Management Centre. ANTA is therefore the first domestic sportswear brand to provide professional sportswear to the national boxing team, taekwondo team and karate team, demonstrating further recognition of ANTA brand and products by the Chinese government and China’s top athletes. ANTA Sports is also engaged in strategic partnership with the General Administration of Sport of China in respect of its Water Sports Management Centre and Winter Sports Management Centre.
As an exclusive sportswear partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee (“COC”) since 2009, the Company is always committed to contributing to the development of sports industry in China. For the 2013 to 2016 Olympic period, ANTA Sports not only will provide winning outfits for the Chinese Sports Delegation (“CSD”) for 10 major international sporting events - including the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Incheon 2014 Asian Games and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games - but will also provide professional sportswear outfits for 16 China national teams from 3 sports management centres (See Table) during competitions, awards ceremonies, trainings and daily usage. The Company aims to realize “China Sports, China Dream” motto with Chinese athletes through these joint efforts.
China’s national boxing and taekwondo teams are emerging powerhouses which have captured gold medals at the last 2 Olympic Games. Being a sponsor to the Boxing and Taekwondo Sports Management Centre not only makes ANTA Sports’ sponsorship resources to China’s national teams more comprehensive, but will create synergy with its cooperation with the COC in solidifying ANTA’s brand image as the representative of China Sports. In addition, famous athletes on these national teams, namely Ren Cancan and Wu Jingyu, and ANTA’s endorsed professional boxer Zou Shiming all share the same sportsman spirit of challenging one’s limit, and are a perfect demonstration of ANTA’s “Keep Moving” brand spirit.
