ANTA Sports Wins "21th Century China's Best Business Model Innovation" Award and Named "The Most Influential Brand in China's Footwear Industry"
"Retail-oriented" strategy enjoyed remarkable results Setting new benchmark for Chinese enterprises
(Hong Kong, 13 December 2013) ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that it has won the "21th Century China's Best Business Model Innovation" award at the "21th Century China's Best Business Model Forum cum Business Model Award Presentation Ceremony 2013" with its "retail-oriented" case example. The Company not only joined other outstanding enterprises such as Tencent Wechat, Suning Yunshang and Ping An Insurance as an award winner, but was also the only branded sportswear enterprise to win such award.
With the aim to set new benchmarks for enterprises in China and to promote the best case examples in business model innovation, the event is jointly hosted by two of the leading financial media agencies in China - namely 21th Century Business Review and 21th Century Business Herald - which conduct thorough evaluations of the innovative capabilities of enterprises' business models through in-depth analysis of a large number of corporate case studies. ANTA Sports kicked-off its adaptation of a series of "retail-oriented" restructuring measures since the end of last year, and has established a corporate culture and values in line with retail model, as well as a consumer-oriented retail management system and an appraisal system focusing on the operational efficiency like a retail company. On the product development side, the Company improved its understanding of market demand and has developed products that are truly welcomed by consumers through communication with retailers and real-time data analysis by its ERP system. Furthermore, the Company has also adopted flattened sales management and streamlined structure in order to enhance the competitiveness of its stores and retailers.
In addition, ANTA Sports has also been awarded the "Most Influential Brand of the Year" and "Top 10 Sports Shoes Brand of the Year" in the "The Most Influential People and Top 10 Enterprises Selection in China's Footwear Industry, 2012-2013". This reflects that the Company's adaptation of a series of "retail-oriented" restructuring measures have achieved unparalleled success with operational performance and profitability that lead the industry, and also demonstrates recognition and reputation from all walks of life. The China National Light Industry Council and China Leather and Footwear Industry Research Institute were the advisors for this campaign, which was jointly organised by the Selection Committee of the Top 10 Lists of China's Footwear Industry, China Shoe Industry Alliance and hc360.com with the aim of promoting the sound development of China's footwear market. All winning enterprises were selected through market research, then further vetting by industry experts and by more than 3 million netizens.
