ANTA Retains Leading Market Share in Travel and Sports Shoes in China for 14th Consecutive Year - Wins Two Awards for Outstanding Investor Relations Performance

(Hong Kong, 10 April 2015) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce that ANTA’s travel and sports shoes produced and sold by the Company ranked number one in terms of market share in China, according to the latest results of “The 23rd China Retail Consumption Statistical Analysis”. This fully illustrates the Company’s success in its brand positioning strategy in the mass market, as well as the strong recognition by domestic consumers in China of ANTA’s innovative products.

The China General Chamber of Commerce and the China National Commercial Information Centre jointly conduct the “China Retail Consumption Statistical Analysis” to produce statistics in areas such as market share of sales and integrated market share of large retail enterprises in China to objectively reflect the current situation of consumption with real data and the most authoritative statistics for China’s consumer goods sector. ANTA Sports never ceases to roll out differentiated products through innovative research and development. The Company invested RMB210 million in research and development in 2014, out-spending all other domestic branded sportswear enterprises. Our innovative products featuring technologies such as A-Jelly, A-Loop and A-Web are widely welcomed by consumers and have received extensive praise.

In March 2015, ANTA Sports launched a new campaign, “RUN WITH ME”, with the aim of inspiring more people to participate in running. Apart from tailor making the “Challenge100”, a specialised functional ANTA running shoe for renowned Chinese ultra-marathon runner Chen Penbin, the Company also introduced the A-Loop running shoe boasting the brand new A-Web 3.0 technology in the second quarter. The ventilation trough in the shoe vamp adopting A-Web 3.0 is inspired by the air intake of cars which can accelerate air exchange inside the shoe and enables better cooling and ventilation, thus keeping the feet comfortable, fresh and cool when the wearer is running. The A-shaped ventilation trough at the quarter forms a 3-D protection band which enhances the stability of the vamp and quarter and provides better protection to the feet.

In addition, ANTA Sports has been honoured with two awards, including “Best Investor Relations Company” and “Best Investor Relations Professional” at the “Asian Excellence Awards 2015” organised by Corporate Governance Asia magazine, which demonstrates investors’ recognition of the Company’s continuous pursuit of and commitment to best practices in investor relations. Corporate Governance Asia magazine, founded more than a decade ago, is the most authoritative journal on corporate governance in the Asia-Pacific region. The “Asian Excellence Awards”, entering its fifth year, selects outstanding enterprises based on areas such as corporate governance, financial performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental protection measures and investor relations through quantitative scores of enterprises as well as with investors interviews and surveys.
