ANTA Sports joins Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index for the first time

Recognized as the sole Chinese footwear and apparel company to be selected

(Hong Kong SAR, 24 December, 2024) – ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock codes: 2020 (HKD counter) and 82020 (RMB counter), and its subsidiaries collectively the "Group") is pleased to announce its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index (DJSI Emerging Markets) for the first time, highlighting the Company's unwavering commitment to sustainability and excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Notably, ANTA Sports is the only Chinese footwear and apparel company to be included in this index, underscoring its leadership in ESG aspects. The latest index adjustments will take effect on 23 December, 2024. This recognition follows the Group's inclusion in the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Benchmark Index (HSSUSB) in August, further validating its sustainability accomplishments by authoritative index institutions.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are premier benchmarks for investors who recognize that sustainable business practices are essential for generating long-term shareholder value and wish to incorporate these principles into their investment portfolios. As one of the most influential sustainability indices globally, the DJSI saw participation from over 13,000 companies in 2024. ANTA Sports excelled in the recent CSA evaluation, improving its score by 30% compared to the previous year. The Group outperformed 94% of its peers among approximately 190 global textile, apparel, and luxury goods companies, ranking first in China's footwear and apparel industry. Consequently, ANTA Sports was officially included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index. Among the 114 constituent stocks in the index, only six mainland Chinese companies, including ANTA Sports, were selected, highlighting the Group’s significant achievements in sustainability.

Lai Shixian, Chairman of the Sustainability Committee and Co-CEO of ANTA Sports, said: "We are honored and proud to announce that ANTA Sports has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to integrating ESG practices into our operations and reaffirms our leadership in sustainability. 'Value Creation Through Mutualism' is central to our sustainability philosophy, and we will continue to 'Keep moving', consistently enhancing our ESG performance and creating greater value for all stakeholders."

To achieve its new decade strategy and sustainable development goals, ANTA Sports has formulated and actively promoted the "1+3+5" strategic goals, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 while adhering to the principle of "Value Creation Through Mutualism". This year, the Group has made significant strides in sustainability, including receiving validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, becoming one of the first Chinese companies to join the UNGC's "Forward Faster" initiative, and unveiling the first carbon-neutral official uniform for the Chinese Sports Delegation's Victory Ceremonies at the Paris 2024 Olympic Summer Games. ANTA Sports remains committed to sustainable development, promoting green and low-carbon practices across its supply chain, and striving to become a leading multi-brand sportswear group globally.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Emerging Markets Index, part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices family, identifies sustainability leaders in emerging markets through S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). It represents the top 10% of the largest 800 companies across 20 emerging markets. Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices were among the first global sustainability benchmarks. Each year, over 13,000 companies are invited to participate in the CSA, which evaluates sustainability practices across various industries. However, only about 3,500 of the world's largest companies qualify for inclusion, ensuring a thorough and impartial assessment.
