ANTA Sports Leads in IPE's Green Supply Chain Corporate Information Transparency Index and Corporate Climate Action Transparency Index

Promising Results Reflect Strong Commitment to Outstanding Supply Chain Management and Robust Climate Governance

(Hong Kong SAR, 3 October, 2023) – ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or the "Company", stock codes: 2020 (HKD counter) and 82020 (RMB counter), and its subsidiaries collectively the "Group"), is proud to announce its outstanding performance in the 2023 Green Supply Chain Corporate Information Transparency Index (CITI) and the Corporate Climate Action Transparency Index (CATI), both published by the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE). ANTA Sports ranked 26th out of 742 brands with a score of 53.22 in the CITI Index, and 17th out of 126 brands in the textile industry. In the CATI Index, the Company also excelled, ranking 31st out of 1504 brands with a score of 53.60, and 14th out of 157 brands in the textile industry. The scores for both the CITI and CATI indices have seen a substantial increase from the previous year, soaring by over 6 times and 3 times respectively, reflecting the Company's exceptional performance in supply chain management, climate governance, and information disclosure. These achievements not only distinguish ANTA Sports among its peers in the region, but also place it among the global leaders.

IPE is a non-profit environmental research organization established in 2006. It is committed to collecting and analyzing government and corporate environmental information to build a database of environmental information. By integrating environmental data, IPE provides services related to green procurement, green finance, and government environmental decision-making. Through collaboration among businesses, governments, non-profit organizations, and research institutions, IPE encourages companies to achieve environmental transformation, promotes the disclosure of environmental information, and advocates for the improvement of environmental governance mechanisms. IPE's CITI aims at dynamically assessing brands on the environmental management of their supply chains, particularly on environmental compliance, energy conservation and information disclosure. The CATI primarily relies on publicly disclosed information from companies and it focuses on the actions taken by companies and their supply chains in terms of climate governance.

As a leading sustainability practitioner in China's sportswear industry, ANTA Sports places great emphasis on compliance within its supply chain, which aligns with IPE's efforts. Through rigorous supply chain management, ANTA Sports not only discloses information about the strategic supplier factory on the IPE platform but also requires self-owned factories and strategic core suppliers to proactively disclose emission data. ANTA Sports regularly empowers its partners in ESG and invites them to share outstanding case studies, thereby enhancing the overall sustainability capabilities of its partners. ANTA Sports also promotes the use of renewable energy by suppliers, with over 80 partners having implemented solar energy to date. Furthermore, ANTA Sports collaborates with its key supplier partners to establish water-saving, carbon reduction, and emission reduction goals and action plans, with over 50 projects planned for implementation by 2023. 

In addition, ANTA Sports actively enhances the use of environmentally friendly materials in its products through R&D and technological innovation, and it strives to cultivate consumers' awareness of sustainable development. ANTA Sports has several environmental technologies and has introduced products made from biodegradable materials, eco-friendly adhesives and plant-based dyes. ANTA Sports is also working with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to promote biodiversity and lead the industry in green development. The Group organizes nationwide eco-walk activities and partners with various charities to encourage more consumers to adopt a green and low-carbon lifestyle. 

ANTA Sports continues to optimize its sustainable development performance through digital technology innovation. By utilizing an ESG online data collection platform, it strengthens the ESG data management process comprehensively. This enables ANTA Sports' ESG data to align with multiple international standards and allows for real-time monitoring of its self-operated systems and assessment of the suppliers’ ESG performance, significantly improving the Group's supply chain governance.
