ANTA Sports Acquires Popular Kidswear Brand KingKow To Strengthen Multi-Brand Strategy In Kidswear Market
(Hong Kong, 20 October 2017) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or “the Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading sportswear company in China, is pleased to announce that a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in the business of KingKow (including the relevant trademarks).
Established in 1998, KingKow is a popular kidswear brand targeted at the mid- to high-end market specializing in the design and sale of apparel and accessories for children aged 0 to 14. The brand is well known for its excellent design and quality. KingKow’s brand has a long history and is highly regarded for its product design and quality. It has also accumulated a strong reputation and customer base. As at the end of September 2017, KingKow had 81 stores in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States.
Mr. Ding Shizhong, Chairman and CEO of ANTA Sports, said, “With the introduction of the two-child policy by the Chinese government, the growth of the kidswear market is widely expected to accelerate, which makes us optimistic about the growth potential of kidswear.
