ANTA Sports ‘Stays True to the Mission’ Simultaneously Participates in Charitable Activities and Promotes New Products
Established the ANTA Charity Foundation to Contribute towards Society Enhanced Soccer Product Line with “ANTA LION II” Soccer Shoes Launch
(Hong Kong, 21 July 2017) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or “the Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading sportswear company in China, is pleased to announce that it had established the “ANTA Charity Foundation”, which will cooperate with the China Youth Development Foundation and Shanghai Adream Foundation Limited to launch the “Robust Growth Charity Plan” during ANTA Sports’ 10th listing anniversary celebration in Hong Kong. Under the plan, ANTA Sports will invest more than RMB500 million in capital and equipment over the next 10 years to support 10 million poor Chinese teenagers in 34 provinces in China. Meanwhile, ANTA will train over 10,000 village teachers on how to teach sports education and training in order to help teenagers improve their physical fitness and sporting competence.
ANTA Sports also announced that the Company will run an “ANTA Charity Day” on 10 July every year, which is the anniversary of the Company’s listing, and ANTA Sports will encourage staff members, distributors and consumers to participate in this charity event. This year marks the first ANTA Charity Day, and all ANTA and ANTA Kids stores, together with its online e-commerce platforms on Tmall and JD.com, will donate RMB 1 for every single apparel item or pair of shoes sold, which will be used to construct ANTA Dream Centers, alongside donations from ANTA’s employees, in order to cultivate the sports culture of children and teachers in different regions.
In addition, ANTA Sports has made new inroads in product development with the recent launch of the “ANTA LION II” soccer shoes in Beijing. The Company invited Mr. Zheng Zhi, a previous Asian Footballer of the Year winner and captain of the Chinese Men’s Football Team, to unveil the new shoes. They also held a friendly soccer match with reporters who attended the launch.
The fully upgraded “ANTA LION II” is revolutionary in terms of its appearance and technology. The design adopts a starry sky pattern, and also uses the most up-to-date soccer shoes stud technology which has been designed in different shapes and textures according to the studs’ specific location. The studs located in adjacent areas are made from different materials which improves the agility of the shoes. The shoes utilize manufacturing technology that combines lightweight, wearproof and cushioning materials, which will help ANTA Sports to further enhance its share of the soccer products market and maintain good sales results.
Mr. Zheng Zhi, a previous Asian Footballer of the Year winner and captain of the Chinese Men’s Football Team, and Mr. Zheng Yexin, responsible for the promotion of soccer products at ANTA Sports, participated in the press conference.
